Crazy Busy Day

Seems like every day we get just a bit busier, today is April's last day of Dino Camp and she had so much fun! She got to bring home all the stuff she has been working on all week! She had a friend come over to play and then went to gymnastics and then we got home for April's first sleepover in the new house! It was a long day but we all had so much fun!!!

Dinner With Grandparents

Today was another busy day, April had Dino camp, followed by play time with her friend, dinner with Lolly & Josephina (Shelly made some amazing stuffed zucchini), gymnastics and then finally ice cream!! It seems that we are always go-go-go lately!

Stolen Vlog Camera

Today Shelly steals the Vlog Camera! I got a rough night of sleep so she took April to camp while I was sleeping and I woke up to everyone and the camera being gone. After later reviewing the footage I see that she took a trip to the Hobby Lobby, can you call it a trip when it exceeds multiple hours? A stay? She took a stay? Anyways she and her Mom went to the Hobby Lobby and got me a cool gift along with some cool things for April which aren't in the Vlog on the off chance she sees them! Another fun day at Dino Camp for April and a yummy dinner and Golden Corral, oh by the way you cant film there!

First Day At Dinosaur Camp

Today is the first day of Dinosaur Camp for April!! She has had some serious Dino love lately and when she saw the flyer for this we couldn't sign her up fast enough when she asked! She had a blast her first day, learned lots of new things and made a cool wooden dino to bring home! She is thrilled for the rest of the week!

Ghost Town Adventures

Today April's Grandma took her out for the day so we went off on an adventure of our own. We went up into the hills by Lake Isabella and found a Ghost Town and explored it then got some yummy BBQ at a little restaurant near the Ghost Town. Once April gets home she shares with us what she did and got today!

Mission: Find Venus Flytrap

Do to the cattle here in Bakersfield the flies are crazy! April and I decided we needed to find a Venus Flytrap to plant in our yard. We decided to do Mission: Find Venus Flytrap.

Giant Arts And Crafts Store

Today Shelly found heaven on earth, HOBBY LOBBY. Oddly enough I was the one who suggested going there, not knowing what in the world it was but my goodness was she a happy camper exploring the store! We found some good deals and got out of there without having to take out a loan. Now I just have to make sure Shelly never goes there unsupervised again and we will be set!

That Time We Visited A Chop Shop

Today we check out a chop shop. Ok, it wasn't a chop shop. It was a muffler repair shop. It sure looked shady though. The people working there were super friendly so that was a plus! Oh the crazy things we are finding here in Bakersfield, CA.

Framing Artwork

Today we went on a mission to find frames for April's artwork, found some good ones and got them up on the wall while April was at her friends house. In celebration of National Ice Cream Day we went to Sonic's to get some ice cream shakes!

Crazy Weather

Home Improvements! We got our TV mounted and a new ceiling fan and the house is starting to look more like a home! Took a trip to downtown Bakersfield to a new restaurant and it had the BEST Thai food Shelly has had and the best Pho I have had! Then the strangest thing started happening, water started to fall from the sky, that doesn't happen here in California. We got quite the lightening show it was pretty awesome!

Let's Go To The Zoo

Another adventure day! Shelly found some places to check out for photo shoots in the area from her new friend and on our way we stumbled across a Zoo called CALM California Living Museum. Of course we had to stop and check it out and we saw some pretty amazing things. Just another awesome adventure for our family!

Let's Play A Game

Since April has been playing Mario Bros like its going out of style I decided it was time for a new game so I ventured out and got her Sonic Colors! Time for her to master a new game!

First Gymnastics Class

Today was a great day, first Lolly goes in for her new hip and we hang out at the hospital. Boring at times but some good family time and then we take April to her first gymnastics class! April has been so excited to start gymnastics and couldn't wait to start once we moved! She is now our little flipper!

It's A Rush!!

Today is a super exciting day, we took April and her new friend Ryland to Rush Air Sports which is like Sky High but better! The girls jumped, climbed and battled over the foam pit! What a day! April was so worn out she chose to go to bed at 8PM in the summer! A day well spent!

Trip To Lake Buena Vista

More adventures in Bakersfield, off to the lake with Shelly's High School friend for a day of fun in the sun. Had a picnic and did some boating and tubing. Such a great day and the best way to beat the heat.

It's Never A Quick Trip To Costco

Shelly always says "Lets go here real quick" and I have come to find out, there is no such thing as a quick trip! We went to Costco to get new tires and ended up spending two hours walking around the store.... 'real quick'... smh

Was It Stolen?!?

Today we got a BBQ from Kern County's Craigslist... Not sure the history behind it, we think it might be "hot" but thats ok we got a grill!! Short and sweet today! Oh, and April is now the neighborhood watch manager, always looking over the wall for her new friends!

Epic Shopping

This town is just full of surprises! Today we found the most amazing grocery store and Shelly went nuts! The house has food now and Shelly took April out to make some new friends around the neighborhood. Another good day her in Bakersfield!

Doggie Day Spa

Today we explored Bakersfield and found a Doggie Spa and took Remington to try it out! We loved it and he looks great, he was not impressed and doesn't understand why he needs a shower anyways! We did a little shopping and tried a new restaurant for dinner that we always see on TV but never had around!

We Missed You!

Hey did you miss us? Cause we sure missed you! After many months of planning we came down to the final month to pack and relocate to be closer to family and we sort of slipped off the grid. We are back now and ready to show off our new home and explore this town and hope to take you along for the ride!
