We Got A New Dog

Today was the best day ever! April got her first Christmas present, early because we cant hide something thats alive! Meet Winston! We are so in love with this dog already! When we got home Remington and Boo showed their approval too!!

Cutting Our Own Christmas Tree

So there is a program in CA for 4th graders called every kid in a park. The program allows 4th graders to register for a pass to get entry into all national parks across the US for free for one year. With this pass you are allowed to get a free permit in participating national parks to cut down your own holiday tree. We saw this as a once in a life time opportunity that we should take advantage of, little did we know that it would be the biggest mission since changing the manifold gasket in Shelly's car! The struggle was real but we ended up with a beautiful tree straight from the snowy mountains of the Sequoia National Forest.

Christmas Decorations

Did you miss us?! We sure missed you! We're back and hope to be back on schedule with daily vlogs like normal! Today was a very Christmasy day, Shelly and April went to a Christmas craft day at a friends and then came home to finish decorating the house. Now all we need is to get a tree, watch us adventure to the forest to get a tree in tomorrow vlog!

Tehachapi Apple Festival

Today we go for a little drive out to the Tehachapi Apple Festival! Nothing beats the small town charm of all the cities around here! We had some fun walking around the booths and ate some delicious food! We did a little sight seeing on the way home and then just hung out and had some fancy chicken for dinner!

Adventure At The Kern County Fair

Today was a super exciting day! We went to the Kern County Fair! Probably the best fair we have ever been to, we spent literally 10 hours there which is more than we have ever spent at a fair! We got to hang out with some butterflies and April and Shelly scooted their boots around to one of April's favorite bands Maddie & Tae! Shells aunt really spoiled us and we had the best time! Can't wait until next year!

School Picture Day

Everyones favorite day, PICTURE DAY! April is looking very pretty and ready for a great day! Shelly drug me out on some early morning Costco shopping and we got the house cleaned up for her Aunt coming tomorrow to visit. Make sure you finish the vlog for April's special bedtime show!

Who Is Ready For Taco Tuesday?

Who's ready for the best day of the week?! WE are! Taco Tuesday is always a favorite here!! Even though that was the only exciting thing that happened, what else do you really need other than tacos?!

Channel Trailer Ideas?

Today Shelly goes off to do her good deed of donating plasma while I start to work on our channel trailer, then start again. Not the most exciting day but we got to relive some of our best moments working on the trailer! What are you favorites that you would suggest us add in?!

Movie Day

Today Shelly and I get a day date while April goes and bakes with Josephina and Lolly! We went to the $1 theatre and saw 'Vacation' which was hysterical! Shelly and I had a quick bike ride before going to have pizza and watch 'Inside Out' at her parents.

Geocaching Adventure

And we're back!! Seems that we are still having trouble getting back to this daily thing but here we go again! Hi Marc! Today is Batman day! The best day!! We wore our Batman gear and went Geocaching for the first time here in Bakersfield and found some cool stuff! We will definitely need to do that again soon!! Shelly made some amazing magic meat (meatloaf) and we called it a day! See you tomorrow!!!

Cosmic Rush

Since we moved to Bakersfield April has been in love with this place Rush, she has been begging us to take her to Cosmic Rush for weeks and weeks so tonight we finally take her and her friend! I have to say it was pretty awesome, we all had a super fun time and jumped our legs off! April and Demi were stoked to go and had a blast before their sleepover!

Our Generation Bite to Eat Retro Diner Tour

Today we surprised April with a package she got in the mail and goes NUTS! She took some of her birthday money she got from her grandparents in AZ and picked out an American Girl Doll online and it finally came! She also gave us a tour of her dolls world including the amazing Becky's diner (Our Generation Bite to Eat Retro Diner) that she got for her birthday from Becky! She's one excited kiddo! Back To School Night

Doughnuts, date night and back to school night! Oh my!!! New school = really important back to school night! we learned a lot tonight, including that April sub hates her life as a teacher! That Time We Found A Lego Store

It's Thursday! So you know what that means. A Throw Back Thursday video. Today's Throw Back is to two weeks ago when we went back to our home town for April to go to her friend's birthday party. While she was go Shelly and I had dinner with friends and walked the mall. We found some really cool stuff! Like a photo booth we stuff 4 adults in, a caviar vending machine and a lego store!

April's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday April!! Today we have a sweet celebration for April's 9th birthday, filled with Candy, cake, doughnuts, pizza, tire swing, trampoline, games and a photo booth! We all had a sweet time!

Back To School!

Today was the first day of school! I still cant wrap my head around April being in 4th grade! With the kiddo back to school Shelly and I adventure off to get a new fridge and then end the day with some gymnastics!! Back to the daily grid with the little one!

Happy 9th Birthday April

Today is April's 9th birthday! I can't even believe that is has been 9 years that I have gotten to spend with my beautiful monkey! Two days before school starts we celebrate with presents, cake baking, movies, dinner out and cake with her two best friends. It was the perfect day! Here is to another amazing year for this amazing young lady!

Birthday Party Crafting

Nothing too big here today, April jammed the ceiling fan so we had to go rent a ladder to fix it and then Shelly spent the day crafting for April's Candy themed birthday party. She sure had made a lot of sweet stuff for her party! April played with her friend all day, what else is new, and then ended the day with another sleepover.
